LUSAKA, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has warned that army worms and the anticipated El Nino could result in a complete crop failure for the 2018/2019 farming season and has warned Zambian authorities to prepare itself.(Zambia Daily Mail)

-- The Zambian government has been advised to consider internalizing debt contraction through local banks to avoid the depletion of foreign reserves.

Webby Wake, executive director of the National Economic advisory Council, a local economic think-tank, said internalizing debt contraction will help the country save on its reserves and negotiate on low interest rates. (Times of Zambia)

-- Hundreds of trucks are marooned and have formed long queues on a border entry between Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) following a decision by authorities in the neighboring country to restrict the number of trucks entering per day. (Daily Nation) Enditem
