German shares close flat Friday

FRANKFURT, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 40.99 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 11,257.24 points.

European health care company Fresenius SE lost 2.67 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by Deutsche Bank and global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard, which lost 2.02 percent and 1.94 percent respectively.

Multinational chemical firm Linde gained 2.40 percent, becoming the top gainer. Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer advanced 1.66 percent. Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group went up by 1.21 percent.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most traded share with a turnover of 442.27 million euros (502.37 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
