TEHRAN, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran and the International Hydrographic Organization signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost mutual cooperation, Eghtesadonline reported on Sunday.
The MoU was signed here on the final day of the 13th International Conference of Coasts, Ports and Marine Structures, otherwise known as ICOPMAS 2018, on Wednesday, according to the report.
The agreement centers on mathematical models in coastal engineering and coastal zone management, according to news service of Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
ICOPMAS is a biennial event organized by the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran in cooperation with the International Coastal and Marine Structural Engineering Association.
It is considered as one of the oldest and most important scientific events in Iran and the Gulf region. Enditem
