PARIS, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.82 percent, or 41.32 points, to close at 5,012.66 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 30 lost in the day.
French multinational automotive supplier VALEO lost 4.85 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. European software company Dassault Systems lost 3.81 percent and French communication group Publicis edged down 2.94 percent.
French retail giant Carrefour advanced 2.14 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French concessions and construction company Vinci rose 1.67 percent and French multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi gained 1.11 percent. Enditem
