FRANKFURT, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 130.14 points, or 1.14 percent, to close at 11,335.32 points.

German airlines Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips, down by 6.84 percent, followed by tire specialist Continental and material manufacturer Covestro, which lost 4.84 percent and 4.73 percent respectively.

Personal-care company Beiersdorf, multinational chemical firm Linde and housing association Vonovia were the top three winners, rising 1.73 percent, 1.48 percent and 0.39 percent respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 442.27 million euros (504.18 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
