U.S. crude oil inventories increase further last week: API

HOUSTON, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil inventories posted an increase of 5.36 million barrels for the week ending Nov. 30, a report by the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed on Tuesday.

The institute reported a buildup of 3.45 million barrels in the oil inventories for the week ending Nov. 23.

Oil prices rose on Tuesday, amid broad expectations that this week's OPEC meeting will yield a deal on production cut.

The West Texas Intermediate for January delivery was up 0.3 U.S. dollar to settle at 53.25 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for January delivery rose 0.39 dollar to close at 62.08 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. Enditem
