UNITED NATIONS -- UN General Assembly President Maria Fernanda Espinosa on Tuesday launched a global campaign against plastic pollution, primarily to raise awareness among peoples around the world.

MOSCOW -- Russia fully adheres to the provisions of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty, which the United States knows perfectly well, Russian Foreign Ministry said Tuesday, in response to the latest statements by the United States and its allies that urged Moscow to return to full compliance with the agreement.

ADDIS ABABA -- A grenade blast in Ethiopia's northern Amhara state has left two children dead, state affiliated media outlet Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) reported on Tuesday.

Enyewe Zewdie, Chief Police Officer of Central Goder zone in Amhara regional state, said the deadly accident happened on Tuesday morning when a stray grenade lying near a school field was accidentally stamped upon by children, causing it to explode, reported FBC. (Ethiopia-Grenade)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis will attend a meeting of the top military contributing partners to the global coalition to defeat ISIS in Ottawa of Canada on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by Pentagon on Tuesday.
