FARAH, Afghanistan -- At least 19 Taliban militants, including a local Taliban leader, have been killed and seven others wounded after NATO-led coalition forces launched airstrikes in western province of Farah, a local official said Thursday.

In one attack, local Taliban leader Aga Mir Adalat together with 10 subordinates were killed after an airstrike targeted a Taliban hideout in Naidi area of Khaki Safed district late on Wednesday, provincial police spokesman Muhibullah Muhib told Xinhua.(Afghanistan-Airstrikes)

HANOI -- Audi Vietnam has announced that 103 A6 sedans produced in the 2009-2011 period and imported to Vietnam would be recalled to replace defective Takata airbags.

CANBERRA -- Carbon dioxide emissions around the world are set to increase to an all-time high in 2018, a report has revealed.

TOKYO -- An F/A-18 fighter jet and a KC-130 tanker plane belonging to the U.S. Marines collided and crashed off Cape Muroto of Japan's western coast early on Thursday, with six of the seven crew members still missing, the U.S. Marines and Japanese Defense Ministry said.
