BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Two speed boats clashed on a river in Brunei on Thursday, leaving one passenger dead and one missing.

Royal Brunei Police Force told Xinhua that they received an emergency call around 12:24 p.m. local time, saying that two boats collided in Brunei waters near Selirong Island, Brunei-Muara District.

Initial investigation revealed that the accident involved 10 Malaysian citizens. Eight of them survived.

Brunei police is still searching for the missing passenger. The cause of the accident is also under investigation, police said.

A boat accident claimed the lives of two Bruneian women and two Malaysians near the border of Brunei and Malaysia in September this year. Enditem
