KAMPALA, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Four Ugandan swimmers on Thursday left for China where they will compete in the 14th World Swimming Championship (25m) slated for Dec. 11-16.

National team captain Avice Meya will lead the team that also has Selina Katumba and the South African based twins Nabil Ahmed Saleh and Fadhil Thabit Saleh.

We know they will face tough competition from the top swimmers mainly from China and United States," Donald Rukare, Chairman of Uganda Swimming Federation told Xinhua on Thursday.

Coach Abel Ddamulira told Xinhua that the team has trained well for over five weeks.
