CHICAGO, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures traded higher on Friday morning with wheat rising sharply following a strong export sales report.

As of 1625 GMT, the most active March 2019 wheat was up 13.75 cents at 5.2925 dollars per bushel. March corn was up 2 cents at 3.8475 dollars per bushel. January soybeans were up 5.5 cents at 9.15 dollars per bushel.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Friday morning released its latest export sales report for the period of November 23-29, showing 89 percent increase in wheat exports from the previous week.

The weekly wheat sales of 711,800 metric tones were also 58 percent higher from the prior four-week average.

The better-than-expected export sales, mostly to Egypt and Mexico, drove up CBOT wheat prices immediately. Enditem
