JERUSALEM -- At least six Israelis were injured in a Palestinian drive-by shooting attack in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Sunday night, Israel's army said.

The incident took place at a road junction near the Israeli settlement of Ofra, north of Ramallah. Israel's emergency medical service said that one of the injured is a 21-year-old pregnant woman who sustained "critical injuries" and was rushed to a hospital.(Israel-Palestinians-Attack)

RABAT -- The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived on Sunday in the Moroccan city of Marrakech to take part in the UN Intergovernmental Conference on the Global Compact for Migration.

The conference is set to formally adopt the Global Compact for Migration, which was first agreed by UN member states on July 13. It is the first intergovernmental agreement prepared under the auspices of the United Nations to cover all dimensions of international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner.(UN-Morocco-Migration Conference)

KABUL -- More than 30 people have lost their lives over the past 24 hours as warring sides have intensified activities elsewhere in the conflict-battered Afghanistan, officials said Sunday.

In the latest skirmishes, Taliban militants stormed security checkpoints in Qadis district of the western Badghis province on Sunday morning triggering a gun battle which lasted for several hours and the militants after leaving three bodies behind fled away, provincial police spokesman Naqibullah Amini said.
