SANAA, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebel delegation in the UN-sponsored peace talks in Sweden on Wednesday said that no deal has yet been reached to reopen the Sanaa International Airport.

"No agreement has yet been reached over the reopening of Sanaa airport and the negotiations are going on in Stockholm," an official at Houthi-controlled Information Ministry in Sanaa said, citing unnamed source of his group's delegation.

The official, who spoke to Xinhua on condition of anonymity, denied reports on reaching an agreement with the Saudi-backed government delegation to turn Sanaa International Airport into a domestic airport.

"A final agreement could be reached in next hours," he said.

Meanwhile, the government delegation is pressing on a deal that international flights in or out of rebel-held Sanaa airport should stop in a government-held airport in Aden or Sayun for inspections.

Sanaa airport has been closed for more than two years by the Saudi-led coalition.

Saudi Arabia is leading an Arab military coalition that intervened in Yemen in March 2015 to reinstate the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi after the Houthi rebels forced him into exile in Riyadh and seized much of the country's north, including the capital Sanaa and Hodeidah port city.
