FRANKFURT, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 58.93 points, or 0.54 percent, to close at 10,865.77 points.

Sportswear and equipment maker Adidas lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.68 percent, followed by tire specialist Continental and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical, which lost 2.35 percent and 2.12 percent respectively.

European health care company Fresenius SE, multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and insurance and financial services company Allianz were the top three winners, rising 1.55 percent, 0.41 percent and 0.36 percent respectively.

Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 235.2 million euros (265.4 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
