LONDON, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.47 percent, or 32.33 points, to close at 6,845.17 points.
Gvc Holdings, a multinational sports betting and gaming group, soared 9.07 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Paddy Power Betfair and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA increased by 2.80 percent and 1.34 percent, respectively.
Evraz, a multinational vertically integrated steel making and mining company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.91 percent. Tesco, a British multinational groceries and general merchandise retailer, dropped 2.87 percent.
