HANGZHOU, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- China's 16-year-old Wang Jianjiahe helped the relay team to win the women's 4x200m freestyle at the FINA Swimming World Championships (25m) here on Saturday. It is China's third gold medal in Hangzhou.

The Chinese women's 4X200m freestyle team of Li Bingjie, Yang Junxuan, Zhang Yuhan and Wang Jianjiahe timed 7:34.08 to win the gold. The United States came from behind to rank second in 7:35.30, while Australia, who had led the first 400m, took third in 7:36.40.

"We did our best and we are very happy," said Wang, who won the 800m free gold on Thursday. "I want to thank my teammates."

Hungary's Olympic and world champion Katinka Hosszu continued her gold medal collection here, winning the women's 200m individual medley as the hot favorite. Hosszu, who has already won the 400m and 100m im and 200m fly, clocked a winning time of 2:03.25. Her main challengers were far behind, with Melanie Margalis of the United States getting silver in 2:04.62 and Kathleen Baker (also from the United States) finishing third in 2:05.54.

China's London Olympic champion Ye Shiwen took fourth in 2:05.79.

"I am more relaxed than one year ago, and I am happy about the result, though I have a little bit of regret as I am only 0.25 second slower than the bronze medallist," said Ye.

In the women's 50m back, China's Fu Yuanhui also took fourth in 26.06, only 0.02 seconds slower than the third place Holly Barratt of Australia. Olivia Smoliga of the United States won the gold in 25.88, while Australia's Holly Barratt took the silver in 25.99.

"I am satisfied with the time, which is my personal best," said Fu. "It is a breakthrough that I made the final. I am not good at short course, but in the 50m course, I think I am faster than all of them."

In the men's 50m fly, Brazil's Nicholas Santos and South Africa's Chad Le Clos went head to head and at last Santos was the winner, clocking 21.81 seconds. Clos, the defending champion, trailed in 21.97. Trinidad and Tobago swimmer Dylan Carter came third in 22.38.

Also on Saturday, Daiya Seto of Japan proved his excellent shape in Hangzhou, dominating the men's 400m im in 3:56.43. Jamaica's Alia Atkinson claimed her third title in Hangzhou by winning the women's 100m breaststroke in 1:03.51.

Russia won the men's 4x50m medley title in 1:30.54. The United States and Brazil came in second and third respectively. Enditem
