KAMPALA, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Three second half goals were enough to give hosts KCCA FC a 3-0 win over Tanzania's Mtibwa Sugar FC in the first leg of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederations Cup on Saturday.

The two teams had missed chances in the first half before the hungry Ugandan side took the lead through Allan Kyambadde's well taken shot after 50 minutes.

Mtibwa Sugar FC's goalkeeper Shaaban Shaaban fumbled with Kyambadde's shot before the ball slipped through his hands and rested at the back of the net.

It was all pressure for the visiting side before Kyambadde turned provider to set-up Patrick Henry Kaddu who nodded to make it 2-0 after 72 minutes.

Youthful Allan Okello scored their third goal with a well curved shot after a good Mike Mutyaba cross.

Ayoub Semtawa and Haruni Chanongo also had their attempts for Mtibwa Sugar FC that missed the target.

"We are happy with the win although we should have scored more because we created many scoring chances," KCCA FC's coach Mike Hillary Mutebi told Xinhua after the game, which is the first leg of the first round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Mtibwa Sugar FC coach Zubeiri Katwila said he was disappointed that they failed to score away from home.

"We have made it so hard for ourselves. But we shall try to be at our best in the return leg in Dar-es-Salaam next week," added the coach. Enditem
