NEW DELHI, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- The death toll in the hospital fire that broke out in India's Mumbai city on Monday has risen to six.
At least 100 people have been rescued so far, said media reports.
The fire broke out in the five-storey government-run ESIC Kamgar Hospital located in Mumbai's Andheri East area.
Rescue work is still on to bring out the injured, even as fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the fire.
According to media, the fire broke out at around 16:00 Indian Standard Time. There were around 160 patients undergoing treatment inside the hospital when the fire suddenly broke out. Enditem
