LONDON, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.05 percent, or 71.93 points, to close at 6,773.24 points.
Wood Group (John), an international energy services company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, losing 5.95 percent. Private healthcare services provider NMC Health PLC dropped 4.96 percent. GVC Holdings, a multinational sports betting and gaming group, fell 4.92 percent.
BHP Group, a leading global resources company, soared 2.67 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Rio Tinto and Antofagasta increased by 2.37 percent and 2.31 percent, respectively. Enditem
