Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, essentially in line with its levels in New York overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.83-84 yen compared with 112.79-89 yen in New York and 113.40-41 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1349-1350 dollars and 128.06-10 yen against 1.1343-1353 dollars and 127.99-128.09 yen in New York and 1.1318-1319 dollars and 128.35-39 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
