KIEV -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and European Council President Donald Tusk on Monday discussed the situation in the Azov region, the Ukrainian government press service said.
Groysman, who arrived in Brussels earlier in the day for a working visit, asked Tusk for help in de-escalating tensions in the Sea of Azov and support for the region. (Ukraine-EU-Azov)

LONDON -- British Prime Minister Theresa May announced in the House of Commons Monday that Members of Parliament (MPs) will vote on her Brexit deal in mid-January.

SEOUL -- Three high school students were found dead, with seven others injured on Tuesday afternoon at a pension in northeastern South Korea, local media reported citing police and firefighters.
Among the 10 male students, all of whom attend a high school in Seoul, three were found dead and seven were unconscious at around 1:12 p.m. local time (0412 GMT) at a pension in the city of Gangneung in Gangwon province. Two of them were reportedly in critical condition. (S.Korea-Students-Death)

KABUL -- Up to 55 militants have been killed in Afghan airstrikes in the militancy-battered country over the past 24 hours, officials said Tuesday.
In the latest sorties, military aircraft pounded Taliban hideouts in Aryub Zazai district of the eastern Paktia province in the wee hours of Tuesday, killing at least 13 insurgents, said an army statement. (Afghanistan-Airstrikes) Enditem
