KUALA LUMPUR -- World Bank on Tuesday cut Malaysia's economy growth expectation this year to 4.7 percent from 4.9 percent due to financial and commodity market volatility.

SEOUL -- Three high school students were found dead, with seven others injured on Tuesday afternoon at a pension in northeastern South Korea, local media reported citing police and firefighters.

Among the 10 male students, all of whom attend a high school in Seoul, three were found dead and seven were unconscious at around 1:12 p.m. local time (0412 GMT) at a pension in the city of Gangneung in Gangwon province. Two of them were reportedly in critical condition. (S.Korea-Students-Death)

KABUL -- Up to 55 militants have been killed in Afghan airstrikes in the militancy-battered country over the past 24 hours, officials said Tuesday.

In the latest sorties, military aircraft pounded Taliban hideouts in Aryub Zazai district of the eastern Paktia province in the wee hours of Tuesday, killing at least 13 insurgents, said an army statement. (Afghanistan-Militants)

SEOUL -- South Korea and the United States will have a working-group meeting this week in Seoul ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony next week for the inter-Korean railway and road connection, Seoul's foreign ministry said Tuesday.
