JAKARTA, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- The anti-terror squad of the Indonesian national police has nabbed two alleged terrorists who provided their houses for plotting terrorist strikes, a police officer said Tuesday.

The two were arrested separately in their hideouts in Makasar, the provincial capital of South Sulawesi, spokesman of the provincial police Dicky Sondani revealed.

"Both of them have provided their houses for secret meetings in arranging terrorist plots," the spokesman said.

The two sibling are believed to be the members of the terrorist network led by Abu Khanza and Risal who were arrested in August, said Sondani.

Although the police did not give specifics of the plot, chief of South Sulawesi province Inspector General Umar Saptono asserted that the arrests were undertaken after the police found clues which could culminate to the launch of terrorist strikes.

Earlier this month, the anti-terror squad arrested two alleged terrorists in Yogyakarta region who were believed to plan to lunch terrorist strikes during the Christmas holidays, according to national police spokesman Brigadier Generl Dedi Prasetyo.

The Indonesian police has stepped up security measures to prevent terrorist attacks during the Christmas holidays. A total of nearly 95,000 police personnel will be deployed to boost security. Enditem
