TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Iranian intelligence minister said Tuesday that the spy services of some neighbors are involved in hatching hostile plots against Iran.

"We are facing conditions that the security services of neighboring countries and even faraway countries have directly taken action against the country's (Iran's) security," Mahmoud Alawi was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.

Outsiders are financing, supporting and training the anti-Iranian trends and terrorist groups, Alawi said.

The terrorist groups employ up-to-date hardware to cross the border and carry out operations in Iran, he said, adding that they are in possession of powerful motorcycles, SUVs, machine guns and even anti-aircraft guns.

Besides military training, the terrorists receive training in intelligence tactics and making secret contacts, the minister added.

He said that the Iranian security forces detected two or three terrorist teams in lran on average every week.

Iran has repeatedly accused the Israeli intelligence service for carrying out espionage projects in the region against the Islamic republic. Enditem
