ANKARA -- Turkish police arrested 30 Islamic State (IS)-linked suspects in capital Ankara, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Sunday.

The suspects, all foreign nationals, were arrested over allegedly plotting terror attacks in Ankara ahead of New Year's Eve, the report said, citing an anonymous police officer. (Turkey-Terrorism)

KABUL -- The Afghan Independent Election Commission (IEC) has set July 20 as a new date for the country's fourth presidential elections, an IEC official said on Sunday.

Abdul Aziz Ibrahimi, deputy to IEC spokesman, told Xinhua that due to some reasons and present issues at the Independent Election Commission, the IEC would not be able to hold the presidential elections on April 20 next year. (Afghanistan-Election)

TEHRAN -- "The United States is only fueling insecurity in the Gulf through its presence in the strategic region," said Chairman of the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Baqeri on Sunday.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. e-commerce giant Amazon is planning to build and expand Whole Foods stores across the country to put more customers within range of its two-hour delivery service, local media reported on Sunday.

The move would bring Whole Foods to more suburbs and other areas where the grocery chain is quickly adding customers since it was acquired by Amazon in 2017, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the plans. (US-Amazon-Expand) Enditem
