Dollar changes hands in mid-108 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-108 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely in line with its levels in New York late last week.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted 108.52-53 yen compared with 108.50-60 yen in New York and 107.84-86 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1410-1410 dollars and 123.81-82 yen against 1.1392-1402 dollars and 123.62-72 yen in New York and 1.1407-1409 dollars and 123.02-06 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
