PARIS, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- France's industrial output fell 1.3 percent in November from a month earlier amid decline of coke and energy production, the national statistics bureau Insee said Thursday.

France, one of the world's leading exporters of manufactured goods, saw production of coke and refined petroleum sector decline by 10.6 percent "because of strikes in factories," Insee said.

Manufacturing activities also fell by 1.4 percent in the period, Insee added.

After registering a 3.8-percent growth in October, output of machinery and equipment slipped back sharply a month later. Meanwhile, transport equipment manufacturing registered a 1.2-percent rise, the report's figures showed.

Quarterly figures were also negative as industry production fell by 0.9 percent year on year in the last three months of 2018, with manufacturing output down by 1 percent. Enditem
