CAPE TOWN, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in South African major news outlets on Friday.

-- The African National Congress (ANC) said on Thursday that the sitting of the grievance panel established to hear the sexual harassment case against its national spokesman Pule Mabe has been postponed to next week.

The grievance panel was scheduled to sit this week, but the ruling party is holding its manifesto launch rally in Durban on Saturday following its 107 birthday celebrations this week. (Independent Online)

-- The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of South Africa said on Thursday it's on track and ready for the 2019 national elections.

The commission said it has made significant progress to update the voters' roll to contain addresses of all voters. (Eyewitness News)
