LONDON, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.36 percent, or 24.69 points, to close at 6,918.18 points.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.05 percent. Smurfit Kappa Group, a leading corrugated packaging company, dropped 4.55 percent. Astrazeneca, a multinational pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical company, fell 3.56 percent.
