ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Saturday.
-- The Defense Council of Ethiopia on Friday met to review the reform undertaken in the defense sector.
Chaired by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who is the Commander in-Chief of the Ethiopian Defense Forces, the meeting discussed the gains made from the implementation of the reform at all levels in the defense sector. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)
-- Ethiopia's year-on-year inflation dropped to 10.4 percent in December, said the Central Statistics Agency (CSA).
According to the agency, food substances have shown 9.1 percent increase in the reported period. Similarly, the prices of non-food items increased by 11.4 percent, it said. (FBC)
