LONDON, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Ronnie O'Sullivan eased past Stuart Bingham 6-2 to reach the quarterfinals of the Masters snooker tournament here on Monday.
O'Sullivan, who won the event for a record seven times, made two centuries and four more breaks over 50 en route to the victory and will next take on Ryan Day on Thursday afternoon.
The 43-year-old raced to a 5-0 lead with breaks of 59, 96, 134, 111 and 60.
Bingham, the world champion in 2015, pulled one back with a 71 and a 62, but O'Sullivan sealed the victory by making 66 and slotting the black into a top corner.
O'Sullivan has won three of the five tournaments he has contested this season, losing just two out of 29 matches. Enditem
