NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Wendy Li, an immigrant from China, was sworn in as new judge of the New York City Civil Court on Tuesday.

Over 200 city councilors, judges, lawyers and Chinese community representatives filled a courtroom on the third floor of the city civil court Tuesday evening to witness the inauguration ceremony of Li, who was elected to the office on Nov. 6, 2018.
