BERLIN, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Stuttgart have signed Turkish defender Ozan Kabak from Turkish outfit Galatasaray with immediate effect, the Bundesliga club announced in an official statement on Thursday.
The struggling "Swabians" reinforce their defence with the signing of Kabak, who has put pen to paper on a deal until June 2024.
"We are delighted that Ozan has opted for Stuttgart despite numerous offers from other well-known clubs in Europe. He has proven his qualities in the Champions League and in Galatasaray's first team," Stuttgart's sporting director Michael Reschke said.
The 18-year-old new arrival made 17 appearances for Galatasaray in the past season. He played 13 games in Turkey's top flight and four in the UEFA Champions League.
"I am very delighted that the transfer worked out. I am looking forward to my new teammates, the club and the great supporters," Ozan Kabak told the club's official homepage.
