WASHINGTON -- Thousands more migrant children were likely separated from their parents and guardians at the U.S.-Mexico border than was previously known, according to a report released Thursday by the inspector general of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

BOGOTA -- The death toll from a car bomb blast outside a police academy in Colombia on Thursday climbed to nine, officials said.

More than 40 cadets were reported injured as the impact of the explosion blasted walls, the mayor of Bogota, Enrique Penalosa, said.

TUNIS -- More than 750,000 civil servants on Thursday participated in a strike demanding salary increases throughout Tunisia under the instructions of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT).
