RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Brazil will meet the Czech Republic in a March friendly as part of their preparations for the Copa America.

The match will be played at Prague's Eden Arena on March 26, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Friday.

Brazil and the Czech Republic last met in the semifinals of the 1997 Confederations Cup in Saudi Arabia, where the South American outfit won 2-0.

The CBF said Brazil would play another friendly in March, with the opponent and venue to be confirmed within days.

The matches will provide Brazil's players with one of their last chances to impress coach Tite before he picks his squad for the Copa America in Brazil.

The world's oldest continental football tournament - which will include each of the 10 member nations of the CONMEBOL (South American Football Condederation) plus Japan and Qatar - is scheduled for June 14 to July 7.

A draw to determine the group phase fixtures will be held on January 24. Enditem
