World's oldest man from Japan dies at 113

TOKYO, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- The oldest living man in the world, 113-year-old Masazo Nonaka from Japan, died at his home on Sunday, local media reported.

Nonaka, born in the town of Ashoro in Hokkaido on July 25, 1905, was confirmed by the Guinness World Records as the world's oldest living man in 2018.

The record of the oldest male ever belongs to Jiroemon Kimura, a Japanese who died at the age of 116 years and 54 days in 2013, according to Guinness World Records.

According to Guinness, a French woman called Jeanne Calment holds the record of the oldest person ever, who died at the age of 122 years and 164 days in 1997. Enditem
