NEW DELHI -- Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth arrived in India on Sunday for a nine-day official visit.

TOKYO -- The oldest living man in the world, 113-year-old Masazo Nonaka from Japan, died at his home on Sunday, local media reported.

KABUL -- Afghan incumbent President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Sunday registered with the election commission to contest the presidential elections slated for July 20.

PUL-E-ALAM, Afghanistan -- Up to eight people were killed as a bomb blast targeted the motorcade of Mohammad Anwar Ishaqzai, governor of Afghanistan's eastern Logar province on Sunday, local media reported.

Local media outlet 1TV said in its report that a suicide car bomb targeted the motorcade of Anwar Ishaqzai in Safid Sang area outside provincial capital Pul-e-Alam at 1:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, leaving eight people dead and 10 others injured. (Afghan-Blast-Motorcade)

COTABATO CITY, the Philippines -- Muslim Filipinos will cast their vote on Monday to ratify the landmark Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), a law that will pave the way for wider self-rule to the Muslim minority in the Philippines and is hoped to end the decades-old conflict in southern Philippines.
