LUSAKA, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Monday.

-- Stakeholders have commended Zambian President Edgar Lungu for considering to dispatch 500 teachers to teach English language in Madagascar.

National Action for Quality Education in Zambia executive director Aaron Chansa said the education ministry should expedite the process because the country had many qualified but unemployed teachers. (Times of Zambia)

-- About 10 million U.S. dollars will be disbursed by the German government for boosting clean water supply in refugee camps in Zambia.

Germany Minister of Economic Development Gerd Muller said the project will benefit thousands of refuges including Zambians that host the refugees. (Daily Nation)

-- Kansanshi Mine, a unit of Canada's First Quantum Minerals, recorded a drop by 25 percent in copper sales during the last quarter of 2018 compared with the same period last year.

The mine, operating in northwestern Zambia's Solwezi district, reported the sale of 56,330 tons of copper in the third quarter of 2018 compared with 74,974 tons during the same period in 2017. (The Mast) Enditem
