SKOPJE, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Macedonia has the unreserved support of Slovenia for its efforts for accession into the European Union (EU) and NATO membership, visiting Slovenian Defense Minister Karl Erjavec on Monday told Macedonian Defense Minister Radmila Sekerinska.

Sekerinska and her Slovenian counterpart hold a joint press conference after their meeting.

Erjavec expressed that Slovenia has already agreed on the NATO pre-accession protocol for Macedonia, which should be ratified by all NATO members.

In her remarks, Sekerinska underlined that "it is necessary for Prespa Agreement to be fully ratified, so that all the members, including Slovenia, sign the Accession Protocol and we expect the Greek Parliament to fulfill its part of obligation this week."

Moreover, Sekerinska said that the cooperation between the two countries' armies has been developing for years and added that this year for the first time Macedonian Army members will attend NATO certified courses organized by the Slovenian Armed Forces. Enditem
