TOKYO -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Tokyo on Tuesday, agreeing to set up a "strategic dialogue" to conduct regular exchanges between their foreign ministers, local media reported.

ISLAMABAD -- At least nine people, including eight policemen, were killed and 21 others injured in a terrorist attack on a police office in Loralai district in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Tuesday, a provincial minister said.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan and Russia on Tuesday agreed to continue regular consultations on Afghan peace process and support regional initiatives to bring lasting peace in Afghanistan and the region, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said.
