NEW DELHI -- The 13th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on China-India Border Affairs was held here on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Chinese delegation was led by Yi Xianliang, director general of the department of boundary and oceanic affairs in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Indian delegation was led by Pranay Verma, the joint secretary (East Asia) in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.(India-China-Border meeting)

TOKYO -- Japan's opposition camp on Wednesday demanded that a new probe be launched into multiple scandals that have rocked the labor ministry leading to faulty statistics being gathered for key jobs and wages-related surveys.

NEW DELHI -- Swine flu scare has gripped the Indian capital city as 11 suspected deaths and more than 500 cases have been reported over the past one month.

According to a report released by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, which works under the country's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi has witnessed an alarming rise in the number of swine flu cases this year, with 532 people diagnosed with the disease so far at various hospitals.(India-Swine flu)

MANILA -- At least two people were killed and four others injured in a grenade explosion inside a mosque in southern Philippine city of Zamboanga early on Wednesday, the military said.
