KIEV, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine plans to issue an estimated 2 billion U.S. dollars worth of eurobonds this year, deputy governor of National Bank of Ukraine, the central bank, said on Thursday.
While speaking during a media briefing in Kiev, Dmytro Sologub said that the eurobond sale will be carried out by the Ukrainian finance ministry.
Besides, the central bank expected that this year Ukraine will attract new loans from the international lenders, including the International Monetary Fund, the European Union and the World Bank.
According to local experts, external financing will help Ukraine cover its debts, of which 15 billion dollars should be paid off this year.
In October 2018, Ukraine raised 2 billion dollars by issuing 10-year and 5-year eurobonds with a yield rate of 9.75 percent and 8.99 percent respectively. Enditem
