RAMALLAH, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to move against Israel's "field executions" of Palestinians.

It said in a press statement that "the field executions by Israeli forces against Palestinians put the ICC in front of a credibility test."

On Monday night, 19-year-old Palestinian Abdallah Tawalba was shot dead by Israeli army near the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

With Tawalba' death, the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces rose to nine since the beginning of 2019.

The foreign ministry accused Israel of "committing crimes against Palestinian peaceful demonstrators at the Gaza borders or unarmed civilians."

The ministry's statement said that it had urged the ICC to open an official investigation into "Israel's crimes and grave violations of international law and human rights principles." Enditem
