Number of passengers travelling by air in Albania in 2018 increase by 12 pct

TIRANA, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The number of passengers travelling by air in Albania's Tirana International Airport in 2018 marked an increase of 12 percent compared to previous year, reaching over 2.9 million, said the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Tuesday.
According to CAA official statistics for 2018, the number of passengers traveling by air to or from Albania reached a total of 2,947,172, or 12 percent higher than the previous year, when the number of passengers was 2,630,338.
The data show that the biggest influx of passengers during 2018 is from "Blue Panorama" company with 21 percent of the total, followed by "Ernest Spa" company with 12 percent of the total.
Meanwhile, the companies that had the lowest number of passengers during 2018 are "Mistral Air" company and "Volotea".
According to the CAA figures, the growth rate of the number of passengers flying with Charter from 2017 to 2018 reached 55 percent and occupies 9 percent of the market total. Enditem
