TOKYO, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened marginally lower on Thursday as a weak lead from Wall Street overnight dented investor sentiment here.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 55.30 points, or 0.26 percent, from Wednesday to 20,818.76.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 8.79 points, or 0.56 percent, at 1,573.34.
Miscellaneous product, transportation equipment, and real estate-linked issues comprised those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell. Enditem
