LONDON, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.32 percent, or 22.40 points, to close at 7,071.18 points.
Melrose Industries, a London-based company that specializes in buying and improving underperforming businesses, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.97 percent. Tui, a Germany-based integrated tourism group, dropped 4.32 percent. Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, fell 4.19 percent.
