PRAGUE -- Fifteen people died of flu in Czech Republic by the end of January during the current flu season, according to the data from the National Institute of Public Health (SZU) released here Friday.

OTTAWA -- A Canadian man who gunned down six people in a mosque in Quebec City in 2017 was sentenced to life in prison with no parole for 40 years, CTV reported on Friday.

MOSCOW -- Russia will not send representatives to join an observers' mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to monitor Ukraine's upcoming presidential election, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday, citing security reasons.

It said in a statement that Ukraine had refused to accredit Russian citizens, who were to arrive in Ukraine as part of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) mission to monitor the upcoming presidential election in Ukraine. (Russia-Ukraine-Election)
