NEW YORK, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Popular Chinese brand Harbin Beer on Saturday put on an experimental show that blended traditional Chinese culture and American street art at the ongoing New York fashion week.

The show started with a short music piece that was a fusion of Peking Opera and R&B, followed by a catwalk show debuting collection jointly presented by Harbin Beer and American sports brand PONY.

Coming after the runway show were the performances of Chinese martial arts, lion dance and hip-hop dance.

Held in February and September, New York fashion week is one of the four major fashion weeks in the world, collectively known as the "Big Four," along with the Paris, London and Milan fashion weeks.

The shows are held from Feb. 6 to Feb. 13 at Spring Studios in New York City, with additional shows at Industria. Enditem
