NEW DELHI -- The death toll due to consumption of illicit liquor in northern India has risen to 72, officials has said.

According to officials, in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh 36 deaths have taken place owing to the consumption of spurious alcohol. (India-Illicit-Liquor)

CARACAS -- Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez on Saturday called on opposition leader and self-proclaimed "interim president" Juan Guaido to reconsider his course of action and stop "the madness of calling for an invasion."

MANILA -- The Philippines and Japan agreed on Sunday to resume the politico-military and maritime dialogue this year.

The two countries "share the view that we resume Japan-Philippines politico-military dialogue and the maritime dialogue at an early date this year," Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono, in the Philippines for a three-day official visit, said in Davao city after meeting with Philippine Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin. SEOUL -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in will consult with U.S. President Donald Trump in the near future on the second summit between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States, South Korea's presidential Blue House said Sunday.
