WINDHOEK, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Kunene Resources Namibia, a subsidiary of Namibia Critical Metals, said Monday it signed an agreement with a private domestic group to exploit manganese.

In a statement, the company said the agreement will allow it to develop a small scale mining operation to exploit a manganese occurrence within Kunene copper cobalt project area in return for sliding scale royalty payments.

"We are pleased to have reached this agreement which can provide meaningful jobs and cash flow to a Namibian company," said Namibia Critical Metals CEO Pine van Wyk. "With success, the operation will provide Namibia Critical Metals with some modest cash flow which will support our larger scale operations in the area." Enditem
